Default What is up with groups?

I'm going to rant about this for a brief moment because it takes away from gameplay like no other.
Who decided having a 2 person group cap was a good idea?
To start that doesn't promote grouping or community by any stretch of the imagination.
Secondy, I bought the pre-order, gave my friends pass to my dad and planned on grouping with a friend and his son.
After logging in we discovered that we'd have to run 2 completely seperate groups, totally a killjoy.
So whoever decided that it was a great idea to limit the groups, congrats on taking away one of the key factors that makes any online game fun...other people.

The group limit of 2 is only for the "newbie area", as it might be called. Once you go to the academy and the world map expands, the party limit will be upped to 4, and later missions have it as high as 6 or 8.

Default Still annoying...

That may be the case, however if you plan on following the guide provided on this site for example. You won't enter the Academy until lvl 10.
That's quite a long time for 4 friends to have to play 2 seperate groups.
I also didn't care for the fact that even though the Academy entrance asks if "your group is ready", they made us do it seperately.
This was very confusing for my dad as this was his first time playing.
If they ask if your "group" is ready, it should mean exactly that.
Not...I'm going to throw you in a group with a lvl 1 warrior of all things and hope you do alright.
Just some things that seriously need to be looked at.

You're reading the wrong part of the guide. Very early, it says this.

Quote:
3) Get to level 3. It's recommended by the game and attaining this level almost hard NOT to do if you've done anything that I've mentioned so far.

4) Understand that once you enter the Academy, there is NO going back.
That is the academy. Only level 3.

Hmm, that's odd. When we've been in groups entering the academy, it's always put us on the same team. Sometimes they add another player to your team, and once it was 3v4. No pressies for guessing who won.
